imported was created with the idea of bringing the viewer into a private space illuminated only by a digital projection of an exotic landscape on the wall that acted as a bedroom window. This footage was captured from dusk to dawn by placing a video camcorder on the balcony window in a small fishing village in Mexico and capturing daybreak. Other props included a single bed with pink, satin sheets, open compact mirrors, a camouflaged leopard chair, a hammer and 15” square glass framed portraits containing images of self-portraits in various theatrical costumes and domestic interiors.

This performance offered a twisted peek into the life of today’s woman.
