“untitled”, approx. one minute: is a short nonfigurative self-portrait that was filmed in a local nail-salon in Jupiter, Florida. I turn the video camera on myself during a pedicure. With careful manipulation of the time sequence and framed in a surreal black and white pictorial space, this action turns into sinister act of mutilation that goes against the notion of feminine beauty and disrupts the duration and narrative in its abstraction.
